To my Grant Thornton family,
Today's heroes don't wear shining armor. They are everyday people who take on real issues. In COVID-19, our heroes are our healthcare and medical workers.
I was super excited to lead the launch of the Ascend Greater Washington Feed Your Hospital initiative that delivers meals to frontline COVID-19 healthcare workers and supports local Asian restaurants in Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. Being stuck at home for so long has made me feel helpless in trying to figure out in what ways I can help my community (besides staying positive and staying home).
Grant Thornton strives to put its people and communities first, whether it's through our Diversity & Inclusion efforts or our monthly culture conversations. I have been so moved by the outpouring of support and generosity from everyone at Grant Thornton.
We're so close to our $10,000 goal -- I need your help to close the gap to deliver meals across the Greater Washington D.C. area. We've already delivered 405 meals to 5 hospitals!

What is Feed Your Hospital?
Feed Your Hospital delivers meals to healthcare workers on the frontline of COVID-19 by supporting local Asian restaurants in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.
Where does the money go?
Your donations will go directly to Feed Your Hospital Greater Washington, who collaborates with restaurants in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia to develop special menu options for hospital deliveries, and coordinates deliveries directly with local hospitals. Credit card fees (4%) apply for each donation. Feed Your Hospital is 100% volunteer-run.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Feed Your Hospital is fiscally sponsored by the Ascend Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization. For all donations, you will receive an official Ascend Foundation letter via e-mail acknowledging your donation, which can be used for tax purposes.
How can I give a large donation?
For large donations, you can help us save on credit card fees by sending a check to the Ascend Foundation, and noting “Feed Your Hospital - Grant Thornton Greater Washington” in the memo line (Address: 160 Broadway 6th Floor E Bldg, New York, NY 10038). If you would like to directly wire the money, donate through your charitable trust, or donate through another means, please e-mail us at feedyourhospital@gmail.com.
