NYC Schools Remote Learning Device Request
Who can get help: For families of a K-12 student at a NYC school.
What: The New York City Department of Education is providing a device for K-12 students that need one. A parent or guardian must fill out the request form and answer a few questions that demonstrate need. You must include the student ID number, a 9 digit number that can be found on the student’s report card.
Xfinity Wifi Hotspots
Who can get help: Anyone with a phone, tablet, or computer that can connect to wifi.
What: Until further notice, all Xfinity WiFi Public Hotspots are now open to everyone on the “xfinitywifi” SSID. Public hotspots can be found in small/medium businesses and outdoors in commercial areas. Non-Xfinity subscribers need to accept Terms and Conditions to access the network and repeat when requested to continue to receive free unlimited access. Please refer to the map below for available public hotspots.
EveryoneOn.org Internet & Device Search
Who can get help: Anyone who is in need of internet or devices.
What: EveryoneOn.org created a search tool for internet & device support that you qualify for. Just enter your zip code and check the boxes that apply to you to see what your options are.
Spectrum Internet - Free for K-12
Who can get help: Families of K-12 or college students in need of internet.
What: Charter will offer free Spectrum broadband and Wi-Fi access for 60 days to households with a K-12 and/or college student who do not already have a Spectrum broadband subscription and at any service level up to 100 Mbps. Installation fees will be waived for new student households.

Comcast Internet Essentials - Free to New Members for 60 Days
Who can get help: Families with at least one member on a public assistance program or with a student on National Lunch Program
What: Comcast is offering to install the “Internet Essentials” package for free to new members for 60 days. To qualify, a member of the household must be on Medicaid, Public Housing, SSI (Supplemental Security Income), TANF (Temporary Assitance for Needy Families), SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistence Program), or NSLP (National School Lunch Program).
