What: Kids’ Meals delivers free, healthy meals, year-round, Monday-Friday to the homes of hungry children under age 6 who live within our 43 delivery zip codes. We also deliver 1-3 family grocery bags a week as supplies allow.

Target Hunger

Who can get help: Target hunger serves vulnerable community members including homebound seniors, families whose children are now home from school, those who have lost their jobs or whose wages are reduced, and those who do not have resources.

What: Target Hunger serves food-insecure people and distributes more than four (4) million pounds of food annually. This distribution of nutritious food is accomplished through six food pantries, educational food fairs, an extensive senior home delivery program, collaboration with 10 senior day sites, the Willie H. & Gladys R. Goffney Community Garden and participation in the USDA Commodities Program.

Who can get help: Students of the school district and children who are under the age of 19

What: Starting on March 31, student meal distribution times will transition to once per day with lunch and breakfast for the following day available for pickup at the District’s campus-based meal distribution locations from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Service for the Montelena Apartments location will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and service for the Double Creek Townhomes location will be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. from Monday through Friday. Meal distribution will take place by the main office of each location. Beginning Friday, April 3, students will be able to pick up meals from any location for Saturday and Sunday during that day’s meal distribution time. Weekend meals for students will be available for pickup each Friday.

What: Los Angeles Unified, in partnership with the Red Cross, will continue to provide nutritious meals to all students who need them during the temporary closure of schools. The 64 Grab & Go Food Centers are staffed weekdays from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Each child can take home two nutritious meals.

Who can get help: All children of New York City, as well as their parents and guardians when present with their children, are eligible for free meals.

What: The New York City Department of Education offers free breakfast, lunch and afters chool meals to all NYC public school students during the school year. Beginning March 23, meals will be distributed at over 400 locations across the city.

Who can give help: Students who are a part of the Harvard community are encouraged to volunteer.

What: This is a centralized volunteer form for students to help healthcare personnel (custodial staff, doctors, nurses, etc.) at Harvard-affiliated hospitals by offering different services including childcare, running errands (grocery/pharmacy runs), remote work (linking volunteers+workers), and more.

What: The New York City Department of Education is providing a device for K-12 students that need one. You must include the student ID number, a 9 digit number that can be found on the student’s report card.
